| Admission Notice for MBBS/BDS/BAMS/B.Pharm/B.Harm(Ay.) Courses 2009 | |
| The Banaras Hindu University will hold All India Competitive Written Test for admission to MBBS course (63 seats) in two stages : PMT-2009 SCREENING and PMT-2009 MAIN, and to BDS (28 seats)/ BAMS (57 seats) / B. Pharm. (28 seats) and B.Pharm.(Ay.) (Paid seats – 30) courses in ONE stage: PMT-2009 Screening.
PMT-2009 SCREENING shall be held on Wednesday, the 6th May 2009 at Varanasi, Delhi, Kolkata, and Hyderabad Centres, to screen candidates for eligibility to take PMT-2009 MAIN examination for MBBS course which will be held on Sunday, the 14th June 2009 at Varanasi Centre only For BDS/BAMS/B.Pharm./B.Pharm(Ay.) courses, candidates will be selected on the basis of their merit in the PMT-2009 Screening. |

Eligibility : Passed Intermediate, 10+2 or equivalent examination in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Zoology + Botany) taken together; Distribution of Seats: M.B.B.S.(63 seats) : General – 42; OBC – 7; SC – 9 and ST – 5; Age : Completed 17 years but not crossed 25 years as on 31st December, 2009 (Candidates born after 1st January, 1993 and on or before 31st December, 1984 need not apply). Admission Details Prescribed Application Form along with the Information Booklet for PMT 2009 can be obtained: By Cash : on payment of Rs. 1000/- (Rs. 600/- for SC/ST candidates) from the following branches of Indian Post Office. (i) Varanasi – (1) BHU Sub Post Office, near Central School (2) Varanasi HPO, near Kotwali Police Station, Vishvesvarganj and (3) Varanasi Cantt. HO, near TV Station * Application Form can be obtained from BHU Sub Post Office, Varanasi only upto Thursday, 05.03.2009 till 4:00 PM. By Postal Channel : From the Office of the Director (PMT-Cell), Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi-221 005 by sending a written request through Registered Post along with Crossed Demand Draft/Bankers Cheque (MICR only) of Rs. 1100/- (Rs. 700/- for SC/ST candidates) of a Nationalized Bank, drawn in favour of “The Director, Institute of Medical Sciences, BHU” payable at Varanasi. Application form will be sent by Speed / Registered Post. However, Institute will not be responsible for any loss or postal delay. The request for application form must include the name and address of the candidate, and full particulars of the enclosed DD/BC (write candidate’s name and address on the back of DD). Two self-addressed, preferably typed, white paper slips of 10 cm 6 cm size MUST also accompany it. The envelop containing requisition for PMT application form should be super scribed “Request for Application for PMT-2009, BHU”. Incomplete/non-cashable Draft (under amount/unsigned/ without Bank Code No. & Seal) shall not be accepted. Note : Application Forms from the Office of the Director (PMT-Cell), Institute of Medical Sciences, can be obtained by POST only and not in person. In case forms are not available at Indian Post Offices, the same can be obtained by post from Director’s Office upto 18th February, 2009. Application form duly completed must be sent through Registered Post so as to reach THE DIRECTOR (PMT CELL), INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES, BANARAS HINDU UNIVERSITY, VARANASI-221 005. on or before the prescribed date.
