| SET is a mandatory written test for the admission process for the undergraduate programmes of these Symbiosis institutes, except for Symbiosis instititute of Technology(SIT) and Symbiosis Institute of Health Sciences (SIHS). However, it is only the first step. Each Symbiosis institute has its independent selection process
Institutes, Programmes & Eligibility :
- Symbiosis Society Law College (SSLC),Pune
Course : BA LLB/ BBA LLB (5 Years)
Eligibility :12th (10+2) in any stream or its equivalent with minimum 50 %. Students who have appeared for their H.S.C finals and awaiting for results are also eligible to apply subjected to their passing it in the same attempt and should not be placed in compartment.
- Symbiosis Institute of Computer Studies and Research (SICSR), Pune
Course : BCA/ BBA (IT) (3 Years)
Eligibility :
BCA – XII standard examination pass from Science stream or government diploma in Engineering / Technology with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC / ST category candidates)
BBA (IT) – XII standard examination pass from any stream or equivalent diploma in Engineering / Technology with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC / ST category candidates)
- Symbiosis Centre for Management Studies-Undergraduate (SCMSUG), Pune
Course : BBA (3 Years)
Eligibility : XII pass from any branch with a minimum of 50% marks. Students who have passed in compartments are not eligible for admission.
- Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID), Pune
Course : BDes (4 Years)
Eligibility : Candidates must have passed their 10+2 (any stream) or equivalent with minimum of 50% marks obtained in the final examination.
- Symbiosis Institute of Health Science (SIHS), Pune
Course : BSc (MT) (3 Years)
Eligibility : Std. XII Pass with any two of the following subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Botany, Zoology, Biochemistry & Microbiology or equivalent as decided by competent authority.
SET Centers : Symbiosis Entrance Test is conducted in 17 cities. A candidate may choose any one city. The centre and its address will be informed to the candidate on the Admit Card

Admission Procedure :
A candidate aspiring to pursue an undergraduate programme at Symbiosis needs to follow the 3 stages mentioned below:
Stage-1: SET Test
- Register online at www.set-test.org
- You may register for one paper in the morning viz. General or Design and one paper in the afternoon session viz. Law or Engineering or Health Science.
- You need to upload a scanned photograph of yours at the time of registration.
- Follow the instructions for payment of Test fee of Rs. 1400/- on this website. This includes charges for a prospectus of the undergraduate programmes at Symbiosis International University.
- After the closing date of Payment, print “Admit Card” directly from the website.
- Bring the Admit Card and a Photo Identity to the Test Center. (Candidates shall preserve the Admit Card till the Admission process of the desired Symbiosis Institutes is over. If the Admit card is lost, no duplicate Admit Card will be issued.)
- Appear for the Test
Stage-2: Apply online to the desired SIU’s constituent institutes.
- The SET website allows a facility to directly apply online to an institute.
- Candidates may apply also from the institute website.
- To apply to an institute, a candidate must register for the relevant SET paper. For example, to apply to Symbiosis Law School, register for Law paper at SET.
- Candidates applying to Symbiosis Institute of Technology must register at SET even if they wish to offer their JEE or AIEEE scores.
- Candidates applying to Symbiosis Institute of Health Science must register at SET even it they wish to offer their 12th science Examination score.
Stage-3: Attend further selection process of the chosen institutes, if called.
- Each institute has its own weightages for arriving at a cutoff, depending on its focused field as mentioned in the prospectus of each constituent institute.
- The institutes will announce a short list for attending further selection process.
- The individual institute as per their schedules will announce Merit List & Waiting Lists.
