Eligibility

  • Candidates who have passed 12th class examination under 10+2 system or an equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English securing a minimum of 60% marks (50% in case of Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe candidates) in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English or whose results of Class XII are likely to be declared by 7th July, 2009 are eligible to apply
  • The candidate should have attained the age of 17 (seventeen) years as on 31st December, 2009. 

How To Apply:

The Prospectus-cum-Application Form costing Rs.1000/- (Rs.800/- in case of SC/ST candidates) inclusive of examination fee can be obtained from the selective branches of State Bank of India against cash payment  or by Post.

The Prospectus-cum-Application Form can also be obtained by Speed Post/ Registered Post by sending a written request with an account payee Bank Draft for Rs. 1050/- (Rs. 850/- for SC/ST candidates) in favour of “M.B.B.S Entrance Examination - 2009″ payable at New Delhi. The Bank Draft should be valid up to July/August 2009.

Money order/ Cheque/ Postal order/ Cash or any other form of payment will NOT be accepted for postal sale. The words “REQUEST FOR APPLICATION FORM FOR MBBS ENTRANCE EXAMINATION 2009″ should be written on the envelope containing request for application form, and also on top of the request letter. The address at which Application Form is required should be written clearly in CAPITAL LETTERS and with PIN code. AIIMS will not be responsible for delay in/non-receipt of Application Form caused by illegible or incomplete address.

Important :

  1. Candidates must obtain application forms ONLY from an authorized branch of S.B.I, or by post from Examination Section of AIIMS. Forms obtained from an unauthorized source will be rejected.
  2. Candidates are advised to procure blank application forms as early as possible instead of waiting for the last date. If the Application Forms are sold out before the last date of sale and the same are not available, AIIMS/State Bank of India or its specified branches will not be responsible for any consequences that may arise due to non-availability of forms. In case a candidate does not get the form by Post in time, AIIMS will not be responsible for it.

Note: After the last date, applications received by courier or by any other means will not be accepted, irrespective of the date of booking.

Eligibility Criteria for Admission to Various Courses through JEE Orissa

For Engineering/ Technology: Pass or appearing in 10+2 examination of CHSE, Orissa or equivalent with Physics, Mathematics, and one from Chemistry/ Computer Science/Biology/ Biotechnology or pass in 10+3 diploma course in engineering including those having less than 60% marks in aggregate from SCTE&T, Orissa or equivalent.

For Pharmacy: Pass or appearing in 10+2 examination of CHSE, Orissa or equivalent with Physics and Chemistry and one from Mathematics/ Biotechnology/ Computer Science / Biology or pass in 10+3 diploma course in Pharmacy including those having less than 60% marks in aggregate from SCTE&T, Orissa or equivalent.

For MBBS/BDS: Pass or appearing in 10+2 examination of CHSE, Orissa or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Biology with at least 50% marks in aggregate in these subjects taken together (40% for SC/ST) with age between 17 and 25 years as on 31.12.2009 (relaxable up to 3 years for SC/ST candidates).

Eligibility :

In case of such students who appear for the entrance Test, pending result of their qualifying examination, their entry shall be subject to their securing a pass in the said qualifying examination.

Examination : The Entrance test is of 3 hours duration and the question paper consists of a total 160 questions comprising of a total of 80 questions in Mathematics, 40 questions in Physics and 40 questions in Chemistry.

  • Candidates with Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry as optional subjects in their Intermediate or its equivalent courseshould submit “E” category application for Engineering (B.E/B.Tech/B.Tech (Ag.Engg) /B.Tech (Dairying)/ B.Tech (FS&T) (MPC) /B.Sc (CA&BM) (MPC) and B. Pharm (MPC) courses. 

  • Candidates with Biology, Physics and Chemistry as optional subjects in their Intermediate or its equivalent course should submit “AM” category application for Agriculture (B.V.Sc., and A.H/B.Sc (Agr)/B.Sc (Hort)/B.F.Sc/B.Tech (FS&T) (Bi.P.C)/B.Sc (CA&BM) (Bi.P.C)/ Medical (MBBS/BDS/ BAMS/BHMS/ BNYS) and B. Pharm (Bi.P.C) courses. 

  • Eligible candidates who intend to seek admission to both the courses in 4.1 and 4.2 have to submit “E” and “AM” category applications in a single cover only, so that the same test center can be allotted for both the tests. 

  • Applications form together with the enclosures including the “Instruction Booklet” can be had in person (not by post) on payment of Rs. 250/- (this amount covers the cost of application, fees for entrance test, and towards Service charges for Post offices) in cash AT ALL THE HEAD POST OFFICES AND ALL e-SEVA CENTRES within the state of Andhra Pradesh.

Veterinary Council of India invites applications for entrance examination for filling up 15% of total number of seats to be filled on Merit in each Government Veterinary College in India (except from Jammu & Kashmir State) from Indian Nationals for admission to 1st year of B.V.Sc. & A.H. course for academic session 2009-2010.

Eligibility:

  1. A candidate must have passed the Higher Secondary Examination or the Indian School Certificate
    Examination equivalent to 10+2 Higher/Senior Secondary Examination after a period of 12 years of study the last two years of study with Physics,
    Chemistry, Biology and any other elective subject with English at a level not less than the core course for English as prescribed by the National Council for
    Education Research and Training after the introduction of the 10+2+3 (years) educational structure as recommended by the National Committee on Education.
    OR 
    The Intermediate Science examination in science from a recognized University/ Board with Physics, Chemistry and Biology (which shall include a
    practical test in these subjects) and English.
  2. To be eligible for entrance examination, candidate must have passed any of the qualifying examinations as enumerated above. Further, he/she should have obtained a minimum of 50% marks for General Category in aggregate in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English at 10+2 /Intermediate Science Examination. Provided also that to be eligible for entrance examination the
    candidate must have passed the aforesaid subjects individually. For the candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste/the Scheduled Tribes or other special category (Other Backward Classes) of students as specified by the Government from time to time, marks required for admission shall be 10% less than that prescribed for General Category.
  3. A candidate who is taking the qualifying examination prior to the Entrance Examination, or whose result is awaited, may also apply and take the examination but he/she shall not be eligible for admission to the B.V.Sc. & A.H. programme, if he/she does not pass the qualifying examination with the required percentage of marks as per the Minimum Standard ofVeterinary Education – Degree Course (B.V.Sc. & A.H.) Regulations, 2008 on or before 30th June, 2009 and submit the documentary proof during counseling, if selected.

Duration of Course: The duration of B.V.Sc. & A.H. degree course is spread over five complete academic years including a compulsory rotating internship of six months.

NOTE: The Council shall not be responsible for any delay, or non-receipt of Information Bulletin and Application Form, due to postal lapses or wrong/incomplete address informed by the candidates.

Sale counter of bank/counters other than the office of Veterinary Council of India will not send the Information Bulletin by post. Hence, no request should be made to the bank/other counters for sending the Information Bulletin and Application Form by post.

Vijaya Bank or its specified branches and designated sale counters (State Veterinary Councils and University) shall not be responsible for any consequences that may arise due to non-availability of forms from Bank/aforesaid designated centres. In case, copies of Application Forms are sold out before the last date at any of the branches and the same are not available with Vijaya Bank/Designated centres of Council, the candidate should get the same from the office of the Veterinary Council of India, “A” Wing, 2nd Floor, August Kranti Bhawan, Bhikaji Cama Place, New Delhi-66, by sending Demand Drafts as stated above. The request along with Demand Draft should reach office qr Council on or before 18th February, 2009.

No correspondence regarding purchase of Information Bulletin and Application Form will be entertained after closing date of sale. General candidates applying on Forms meant for SC/ST category shall be rejected.

Venue of Examination : at the centers (cities) stated in the Information Bulletin.

Forms received after the last date shall not be considered.
