AIEEE is conducted by CBSE (Central Board of secondary Education) for admission into NITs (National Institutes of Technology). Now the Ministry of Human resource Development wants to entrust the conducting of AIEEE to individual NITs and has selected MNNIT to conduct AIEEE 2009. As IIT JEE is conducted to admit students into IITs, AIEEE is conducted to admit students into NITs. NITs offer graduation in B.Tech and B.Arch. AIEEEis a three hour examination. Those opting for admission to engineering the test are conducted in maths, physics and chemistry and for those opting for B.Arch; AIEEE is conducted in mathematics and aptitude test.

The number of questions and maximum marks varies fro year to year.

The AIEEE paper consists of questions from almost all the fields of mathematics, physics, and chemistry. The questions asked are not tough, but are different and requires different approach of mind to solve it. Thus it is very essential to go through good books in order to prepare for the AIEEE examinations.

It is a dream of every student to succeed in IIT-JEE or AIEEE entrance exam.AIEEE is a national level entrance exam, which students have to clear after 10+2 (if they want to get admission in Engineering, Architecture and planning courses).

Those students who have cleared their 10+2 with a minimum score of 50% are eligible to appear for this entrance exam but for SC/ST minimum percentage is less than the general category and also students who are appearing for 10+2 are eligible for this exam. Many students apply for this exam all over India for approximately 35000 seats. The exam consists
Of objective type questions with four options for every question and on each correct answer candidate gets 3 marks and on incorrect response 1 mark is deducted i.e. negative marking is there. The exam pattern for engineering consists of physics; chemistry and math’s with maximum of 540 marks with each section having a weightage of 180 marks and candidates opting for architecture are tested for mathematics and aptitude.

Objective type Engineering Entrance Exam is not difficult. However, its questions do have a need of being tackled with different tactics and perspectives. Read more…
