AIEEE is conducted by CBSE (Central Board of secondary Education) for admission into NITs (National Institutes of Technology). Now the Ministry of Human resource Development wants to entrust the conducting of AIEEE to individual NITs and has selected MNNIT to conduct AIEEE 2009. As IIT JEE is conducted to admit students into IITs, AIEEE is conducted to admit students into NITs. NITs offer graduation in B.Tech and B.Arch. AIEEEis a three hour examination. Those opting for admission to engineering the test are conducted in maths, physics and chemistry and for those opting for B.Arch; AIEEE is conducted in mathematics and aptitude test.
The number of questions and maximum marks varies fro year to year.
The AIEEE paper consists of questions from almost all the fields of mathematics, physics, and chemistry. The questions asked are not tough, but are different and requires different approach of mind to solve it.
